Oh hey, new brand, new website. The story behind my new biz direction.

Holy shit, WELCOME to my brand new website & fresh re-brand!

Honestly, this re-brand has been a very long time coming. When I first started on it almost a year ago, my only real intention was to move my website from Squarespace 7 to 7.1, and do a little, easy-peasy brand update while I was at it.

(If you’re not aware, Squarespace basically has an entire new update called 7.1 that they’ve launched in the last couple of years, so if you have a site that’s older than that, you can’t just easily transfer it to the new version, you gotta re-build your ENTIRE website from the ground up. Yes it’s a pain in the ass, but it’s the way it is, lol).

Cut to almost a year later, and here I am, merging Good as Gold Studio back with my personal brand — something I NEVER would have imagined in those early days, but I could not be more stoked about now.

It’s a little bittersweet because when I started Good as Gold Studio in 2019, I had a super clear vision for it. While my 1-1 Design services could stay under my personal brand, Good as Gold gave me a new platform to create templates and resources for a slightly different audience. Eventually I did everything under Good as Gold, and it was awesome. But it was only recently that I really started to struggle not knowing where I wanted to post content, on my personal Insta, or on Good as Gold, feeling like something needed to shift… And this was actually one of the early clues that it was time to merge the two.

I’ll actually be sharing a lot more about this re-brand in a series that’s going down here on the blog & on my email list starting soon, called ‘Field Notes on Pivoting Your Brand’, because this branding move has actually felt super hard and very sticky for the majority of the last year.

Genuinely, I only realised about 2 months ago that I actually had a Branding problem because I wasn’t very clear on what I was doing, who my people were, and most importantly — where I wanted to go. It was all a bit wishy-washy, ya know?

So, what’s changing?

From the outside, to be honest not a whole lot is changing other than an entire re-brand, haha. The products are the same, and they’re not going anywhere, aka the Notion Templates, and Squarespace Templates, including The Stash. I’m working stuff to come out during the remainder of the year, too. So, not a whole lot is changing. Same products, same vibe, newly refreshed vision.

In terms of this new direction, there’s so much I could say, but here’s what I’ve narrowed it down to, as to why I’m doing this and why it feels so fucking good to me…

Having all of my offerings and creativity under one ‘umbrella’, that being my own name & personal brand, just feels like I can do so much more and go much further with it. There’s no splitting my focus between this or that side of my business, because it’s all me, baby.

If you know Human Design, you probably won’t be surprised when I say I’m a Manifesting Generator, which is very on-brand for this pivot, too, to bring all of my shit back under my own name, and let that be the playground for any & all of the stuff I want to bring to life.

My newly-refined mission?

To help you build a brand worth noticing.

If you’ve been around here for a while, you’ll know this carve your own path, fuck the trends, you do you vibe has been how I roll for 12+ years, and now it just feels a lot more refined than it has in the past, and I can’t wait to share more with you!

For now, like I mentioned, coming up I’m gonna be releasing an email & blog series called ‘Field Notes on Pivoting Your Brand’, and I’m going into depth on this whole journey in much more details, with BTS thoughts, early designs, and most importantly — the key takeaways that could help you if you’re on a similar path at the moment.
